It is unfortunate that we need a dress code, but we do:  Christians should strive to dress modestly for all things.  If you are new to MSC, please be forewarned: we do enforce our dress code at camp, and campers are sent home if they will not comply after a warning. We have little tolerance in this regard.  It is interesting to watch: once everyone gets behind the code and follows it, camp always goes so much smoother.  One staff member said it best: "it's amazing how liberating it is when we all determine to follow the expectations we set".

bulletThe dress code will be in effect the entire week of camp, including the hours before breakfast and after dinner.
bulletShould dress code violations occur, the camper or campers will be asked to change. A second violation will result in the camper being sent home. Camp is too short to spend much time fussing about it.

Camp Dress Code

bulletShorts are permitted as long as they come to the knee.
bulletSleeveless shirts are not permitted. (Too many torn T-shirts with gaping sides.) No tank tops, spaghetti straps, tube tops, etc.  Our favorite shirt for camp is a colored T-shirt.  Inexpensive, washes easily, can be purchased for $5 or less at Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart, etc.
bulletSkirts and dresses worn in the evening must also come to the knee. Dresses must not be sleeveless.
bulletThere must be no skin showing between the top of pants and the bottom of shirts while standing or sitting.
bulletUndergarments must not be seen.
bulletClothing must not be so tight that it reveals undergarments.
bulletClothing that advertises beer, alcohol, drugs, or related behavior is not permitted (e.g. Club Naked). This includes writing on improper places, such as pant seats.
bulletClothing that advertises bands or musicians is not permitted. Exception: your own high school band/choir is acceptable.
bulletPermissible jewelry for Men: necklace, bracelet, finger ring. Dog collars do not qualify as a necklace.
bulletPermissible jewelry for Ladies: necklaces, bracelets, finger rings, earrings. All other jewelry is not permitted.
