Director Todd Hall got hungry late this afternoon and went to the kitchen to ask Ms. Belinda what’s for dinner and she put him to work cooking lasagna and breadsticks, one of the campers’ favorite meals of the week!!!

Lip Syncing Through the Decades
Another afternoon activity began the selection of songs and beginning of rehearsals for the highly-anticipated lip sync competition to be held Thursday evening. Lip sync coordinators Nick & Katie Paden chose potential lip sync songs from each decade from 1960 t0 2000. Each team’s last year campers were quizzed on MSC trivia, and the teams got to participate in…
Teams Begin Their Team Craft
Craft director Julie Essary and Teresa Butler introduced each team to their team craft today: decorating a wooden, log cabin birdhouse. The teams will work together over the next few days to put their creative abilities to the test to design the best birdhouse, and will later split into age groups for individual crafts as well.
Sr. Campers Hit the Volleyball Court
All the teams this afternoon took their turn on the volleyball court, trying to out-spike their opposing team.
Returning to Sr. Week, Camper-Favorite…Ultimate Frisbee
Back by popular demand, one of the campers’ favorite new sports at MSC is Ultimate Frisbee. Each team got to take their turn on the Ultimate Frisbee course as part of Monday’s afternoon rotation.
Singing Workshop
One of this afternoon’s team rotations was a singing workshop led by Derek Gould. Not only did Derek help each of the campers learn new songs, but he also helped them improve their singing of old favorite hymns and camp songs. In addition, Derek helped the young men practice and improve their song leading skills.

Sr. Week Has BEGUN!!!!
MSC 2017 Sr. Week has officially BEGUN!!!! Bunks are made, Directors Todd & Susan Hall have welcomed all 207 campers and introduced the team captains, campers have met with their team captains and fellow teammates, and now cabin introductions are underway.
