Good morning MSC! We are ready for our first full day of the best week of the year! We start every day with a devo around the flagpole. This mornings was led by Luke Petre to get our minds ready for our theme and verse of the day: Selfless (1 Corinthians 10:24).
After breakfast, campers were split into their groups to participate in bible study, crafts, and water balloon launch.
Nick Hall lead today’s bible study on our theme of selfless. He reminded us of how Jesus showed humility and servitude, and how we must “die” to our selfish desires everyday.
” Jesus chose, so we must choose… to be humble… to serve… and to die to self…”
We love giving out special “paper plate awards!” Here are some that were given out at lunch today:
Ryan Bemis received “future janitor” award for mopping up spilled water (without being asked!)
Owen Sorrells received the “friendly fire” award for accidently hitting himself in the face with a water balloon (don’t worry, he’s alright)
Derek Hossfield received the “night shift ninja” award for coming back to the kitchen late at night after the power was restored to clean all the leftover dishes from dinner!
Natalie Awwad received the “Happy Go Lucky” award for being a bright star of encouragement to others!
