What a wonderful time we all had at Senior Week this past week. A couple of hiccups early in the week didn’t stop the momentum and the perfect (albeit pretty hot) weather was a great environment for having a great time with old friends and making new ones along the way.
Throughout the week, our incredible media team has been hard at work capturing memories for us all to enjoy throughout the years. There have been daily recap videos that have been posted to the MSC YouTube channel. Just before closing ceremonies, Jared Boone shared his Thursday recap video with the camp. Part of the video highlighted our amazing group of Last Year Campers, who usually will play a leadership role within the teams. We had a very encouraging group of LYC’s this year and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place after the video aired.
12-noon ushered in our closing ceremonies, recognizing the hard work that our staff puts in throughout the week, highlighting the accomplishments of some outstanding individual campers, and summarizing the team standings.

- Camp dates have been secured at Shakamak for next year, so mark your calendars. Senior Week will be from June 29 to July 4, 2026. Junior Week will be from July 5 to July 9, 2026.
- The Friends of Indiana Youth has recently formed the MSC Booster Club primarily to help needy families send their kids to camp, among other financial obligations needed to keep the camps operating. You can find more information about the Booster Club at the MSC website.

- We are actively planning our Fall Party for Saturday, September 27th at The McCauley’s home. Mark your calendars for the party. We will get more details out about it as they start to gel.
- The MSC Formal, for kids in grades 7-12, is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026. Mark your calendars now and we will push out information as more plans are made.
