Two Leslie boys were honored this morning at breakfast. Birthday boy, Carter Leslie was presented a special card and had the whole camp sing Happy Birthday to him. He turned 8 years old today. Lunch at MSC Junior Camp is always spirited. The kids are excited from the morning games and hungry for the great lunch prepared by our wonderful kitchen staff. Today we enjoyed our compadres leading our campers in song and prayer before the meal. Just so you know. Our lunch today consisted of: 300 Grilled hot dogs 14 lbs…
Campers also had some “quiet” time to enjoy board games and each other’s company. New friends had a chance to challenge each other to games and activities. Even some of the staff couldn’t resist the chance to jump in and show the campers how it’s done.
Although the afternoon sporting events were cancelled, the morning games went as scheduled. Teams enjoyed basketball, volleyball, soccer and kickball. Campers were able to play two of the four sports this morning. More major sports coming tomorrow as well.
Today, many of the kids enjoyed making crafts. MSC staff has been blessed to have Ms. Dayna Cade join us to oversee our craft time.
