Wednesday Morning Flagpole

This morning, compadre Ryan Walker discussed “Peer Pressure” during his flagpole devotion. He began with I Corinthians 15:33 – “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”

Oftentimes, schoolmates try to pressure you into doing things you shouldn’t do. They try to pressure you into using bad language, to have a bad attitude, or to be disrespectful. Be careful with what friends you choose because Galatians 5:9 tells us, “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” We definitely need to be careful about how much we are around bad people who want you to be pressured–avoid these people at all cost!

“Watch your thoughts because they become words; watch your words because they become actions; watch your actions because they become habits; watch your habits because they become character; watch your character because it becomes destiny.” — Ancient Chinese Proverb. And to add to that proverb, “Watch your destiny because it becomes eternity.”
