The grand finale of Tuesday evening was a men’s skit that’s hard to describe – you just have to watch it. They completed their flawless routine with a standing ovation. One of the greatest things about camp at MSC is the wonderful friends you meet. Getting to meet others who are growing up and striving to be Christians is a special thing. This week the campers are forming amazing friendships – some may even last a lifetime! Such a wonderful blessing.
Lunch at MSC Junior Camp is always spirited. The kids are excited from the morning games and hungry for the great lunch prepared by our wonderful kitchen staff. Today we enjoyed our compadres leading our campers in song and prayer before the meal. Just so you know. Our lunch today consisted of: 300 Grilled hot dogs 14 lbs…
Campers also had some “quiet” time to enjoy board games and each other’s company. New friends had a chance to challenge each other to games and activities. Even some of the staff couldn’t resist the chance to jump in and show the campers how it’s done.
Although the afternoon sporting events were cancelled, the morning games went as scheduled. Teams enjoyed basketball, volleyball, soccer and kickball. Campers were able to play two of the four sports this morning. More major sports coming tomorrow as well.
Today, many of the kids enjoyed making crafts. MSC staff has been blessed to have Ms. Dayna Cade join us to oversee our craft time. MSC Junior Camp 2014 began today and the staff could not be more excited. Months of preparation goes into every camp and we want to thank all of the many volunteers that put so much effort into making this week so special for these 148 kids. A brand new Sunday night event at Junior camp is the Toilet Paper Challenge. Team captains unrolled a full roll of toilet paper and each team member had to hold a section of it while walking through an obstacle course.
