Monday Recap!

Campers and staff have enjoyed their first full day of MSC Jr. week 2026!! Teamwork and “Loving Beyond Our Circles” has been displayed in all of our activities today!

Flagpole

Each morning, a male compadre will lead campers in a flagpole devotion. This morning, Zander Rios introduced today’s theme, “No Favorites in God’s Family.” He challenged campers to go beyond their circles and sit with someone they may not know very well!

Paper Plate Awards

Each day during our meals, compadres will give out paper plate awards. These awards recognize special and sometimes silly things campers do through various camp activities. Check out our Instagram/Facebook for more!

Today’s Activities

Campers had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities today. Our sports for the day were kickball, volleyball, and field hockey. They also had a chance to show off their artistic skills in the craft hall with a galaxy portrait, tie-dye pillow case, and s’mores heated by the sun!  After a hamburger lunch, campers did some indoor games with their age groups and life sized board games outside.

Bible Study

The girl’s bible study was presented by Abby Hostettler. Abby talked about how love is not only a feeling but an action as well. One of the points was agape love and that is when someone chooses to do what is best for someone else, even when it costs them something. She used the Good Samaritan to help illustrate this point for us.

The boy’s bible study was presented by Drew Maudlin. Drew talked about how people sometimes rank themselves on how good they are at a task. He had them do an activity where some kids had white boards and had to rank themselves for specific things. Then he had everyone else “judge” them based on the rankings. He showed campers how God made everything so no one is better or worse than anyone else.

Surprise Event

After an amazing grilled chicken dinner, campers were presented with a surprise event. Teams participated in the Amazing Race. They were tasked to work together as a team to solve challenges through a variety of games.
