Carnival

Today after the obstacle course, our campers all ate sack lunches while staff set up for the carnival in the lower sports field. We had various games set up and when campers won a game, they received tickets that they could then use on some attraction, whether that be the wrecking ball, giant water slide, or human bowling. As…

Tuesday girls study and Tuesday night worship

Sorry, but I realize that I’m a day late in posting this blog. For clarification before I begin, I just want to point out that I was not in the girls’ study yesterday–all my information comes from notes. Yesterday afternoon our female campers were led in a Bible study by Silver team captain Carrie Elkins. The study continued to…

Wednesday dinner

I don’t mean to sound redundant, but our cooks are really amazing. All of our campers enjoyed a delicious Mexican fiesta of tacos for dinner. Here’s a picture of the spread on one of the tables:

Camp logo

As we do every year, we had a contest for our campers to design our logo for us. Whichever camper has the winning logo gets to come to camp for free. This year’s contest winner was Abigail Mitchell. Here’s a picture of Julia Casey wearing the shirt Abigail designed.

Jr. Olympics!

Anyone who has ever been to camp before knows the excitement that comes with Jr. Olympics. We truly couldn’t ask for a better kitchen staff than the one that we have this year. Here are the names of our kitchen staff: Kristie Maudlin Melissa Hosfield Betsy Benson Mary Beth Maudlin Sonya McCauley Rachel Lanius Natalie…

Best one yet

This morning we started out with Fried Rademacher leading us all in a flagpole devotional on keeping good principles. Then we went to eat what has to be the BEST breakfast we have had this week. The campers all enjoyed French toast, eggs, and bacon. Thank you kitchen staff! Yum!

Goodnight Tuesday

After a day filled with delicious food, sports, Bible study, hilarious skits, and time well spent with friends, the campers are headed to bed. After today, it’s safe to say that most campers are exhausted and ready for sleep in preparation of Jr. Olympics tomorrow. So, from MSC Jr. Week to you, we wish you a big goodnight and…

Tuesday night skits

Tonight we once again had the pleasure of enjoying a few skits presented by our staff.  We started out with Danny Elkins performing a “midget Danny” skit in which he was trying to decide what he wanted to do for a job. In the end, he chose that he didn’t like anything better than being a team captain at…
